ATTLEBORO — At approximately 9:53 a.m. this morning, Attleboro Fire crews were dispatched to the area of 3 Meadowsweet Trail for a reported gas leak.
The first arriving unit encountered a strong odor of natural gas and quickly determined that a fence company had accidentally struck an outdoor gas line during an installation. Firefighters immediately evacuated the nearby home as a precaution and deployed a hoseline for standby protection.
