ATTLEBORO — Fire Chief Scott Lachance, Police Chief Kyle Heagney and Mayor Cathleen DeSimone want to update Attleboro residents of power outages and road closures in the wake of Monday’s storm.
A number of facilities have had power restored as of 7 p.m., including City Hall, the Attleboro Police Department station and the Gardner Terrace senior apartment complex.
At latest count, about 6,000 residents remain without power.
As of 8 p.m., the following roadways were affected by the storm. Note: This is not a complete list:
- Adamsdale Street is closed.
- Hutchinson Road is closed. No emergency vehicles will be able to use Hutchinson.
- Mechanic Street is closed in the area of 3rd Street.
- Oak Hill Avenue is closed in the area of 30 Oak Hill Ave.
- Tiffany Street is closed, but may reopen later tonight.
- Wilmarth Street is closed near Hitchcock Street and Coleman Avenue.
The Attleboro Fire and Police Departments, as well as the Mayor’s Office, continue to monitor the situation.
