ATTLEBORO — The Attleboro Fire Department responded Tuesday afternoon to a rollover crash that left one person injured and caused a power outage.
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, just before 1:30 p.m., Attleboro firefighters were dispatched to Holden Street at Benefit Street for a report of a motor vehicle rollover.
Upon arrival, crews found a vehicle on its roof with heavy damage. Personnel from Brewster Ambulance, who came upon the crash, rendered aid to the lone occupant, a male in their 70’s, prior to firefighters’ arrival. Firefighters then assisted in extricating the patient. The individual was transported by advanced life support ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle struck a utility pole, bringing wires down across the roadway and causing a power outage in the area. National Grid responded to repair the damage and restore service.
The Attleboro Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
