Attleboro Firefighters Quickly Contain Bathroom Fan Fire in Row of Townhouses

At approximately 10:59 a.m. on, September 30, firefighters responded to 21 Milk Street for a reported fire inside a bathroom of a townhouse unit.

Upon arrival, crews found that a bathroom exhaust fan had ignited, creating significant smoke buildup. Firefighters acted quickly to contain the fire to the area of origin and performed overhaul operations to ensure it did not spread further.

There was no damage to neighboring townhouse units, and residents were not displaced.

The fire originated in the bathroom exhaust fan, and the cause remains under investigation by the Attleboro Fire Investigation Unit.

During the incident, the Norton Fire Department provided station coverage for Attleboro. North Attleboro Fire also responded to a medical call in the city while crews were committed to the fire scene.
