ATTLEBORO — The Attleboro Fire Department would like to congratulate several members on their recent promotions and welcome its newest firefighter-paramedics.
Captain Steve Brennick has been promoted to Acting District Chief. Acting District Chief Brennick will serve as shift commander for A Shift, overseeing daily operations and emergency response.
Firefighter-paramedics Jeffrey Langlois, Joshua Sutherland and Riley Duffin were recently sworn in as members of the Attleboro Fire Department.
Langlois joins the department from the Somerset Fire Department, bringing years of fire and EMS experience to Attleboro. Sutherland joined Attleboro Fire several months ago after previously serving with the Falmouth Fire Department but was unable to attend an official swearing-in ceremony at that time. Duffin previously completed her paramedic internship with the Attleboro Fire Department and chose to continue her career serving the Attleboro community.
Several other members, not pictured, have also recently received promotions.
Captain Adam Meier has been promoted to Acting District Chief and will serve as Fire Prevention Chief, overseeing the department’s fire prevention and inspection operations.
Lieutenant Beau Jacques has been promoted to Acting Captain on B Shift. He is stationed at the South Attleboro Fire Station, where he oversees Engine 2, Rescue 2 and dispatch operations.
Firefighter Michael Gould has been promoted to Acting Lieutenant and will be assigned to Engine 1 at the Headquarters Station.
“These appointments and promotions help ensure we continue to meet the public safety needs of our community,” Assistant Chief Dennis Perkins said. “The Attleboro Fire Department responds to nearly 10,000 emergencies each year. Maintaining strong staffing and leadership throughout the department is essential to providing the level of service our residents expect and deserve.”
The Attleboro Fire Department congratulates all of its newly promoted members and welcomes its newest firefighter-paramedics. The department wishes each of them a healthy, safe and fulfilling career ahead.
