

ATTLEBORO, MA – At approximately 2:41 p.m. today, the Attleboro Fire Department responded to the area of North Ave and Deanville Rd to a reported motor vehicle collision involving a utility pole.
Upon arrival, first responders found a single vehicle with moderate damage. The driver, a 67-year-old woman and sole occupant of the vehicle, had self-extricated with the assistance of bystanders prior to AFD’s arrival.
The vehicle had veered off the roadway, striking a fence before colliding with the utility pole. National Grid crews responded to assess the condition of the pole. No repairs were required, and there was no loss of power to the surrounding area.
The driver was evaluated and treated on scene for non-life-threatening injuries before being transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
The Attleboro Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
